1. Turn up on time - As a teleseminar host I always start at the allocated time out of respect for those who turned up on time. When you turn up early you also get to talk to other members, the host and sometimes even the guest speaker. The 5-10 minutes before a teleseminar is your opportunity to connect with other members so please be on time.
2. Mute Yourself - Our teleseminar system allows for all callers to be muted but before the call starts it will be open to allow people to talk. If you have alot going on in the room you are in please mute the call by pressing #6 and unmute yourself using #7
3. Avoid eating and drinking - this is as much for host/speakers as it is for participants. There’s nothing worse than asking a question with a mouth full of food!
4. Avoid using mobiles and speakerphones, they do not come through very clearly and will make it difficult for us to answer any questions you may have.
5. Feel free to send in your questions before and during the call. Remember there is space for you to do that so take full advantage of it. If you include your name we will read it out to acknowledge your question but you can submit questions without a name.
6. Teleseminars are discussion based and work best with participation from callers so please feel free to speak up and ask your question to the speaker/host. Always remember there is no such thing as a “stupid” question. As long as you need it answering then it’s important to us to answer it for you. You will also find that there were other people wondering the same thing, so be the brave one and ask.
7. When the call is over feel free to say goodbye to everyone and just hang up. If you want 30 seconds to a minute and then hit F5 to refresh the page you will find the replay instantly available but obviously unedited. Edited versions of our teleseminars can be found at our online magazine here
